[edit] Davids top2/3, syesha, jason btm 3...
ON the VT on the finale it explicitly said the davids had never been in the btm2/3 which means that they were top 2 on final 4 and final 5 and were top 3 on final 6 (top 3 because 1st, 2nd, 3rd place wouldn't put them in the btm 3) which fills up some empty btm 3 placements for syesha and jason —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.1.176.155 (talk) 11:50, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
- I have reverted your additions because through numerous different topics on here we decided to only go with the announced bottom 1/2/3 that Ryan said. In the final six, there was only a bottom 2, so either David could have been in 4th place since they never said who was in the bottom 3. In the final five and four, there was only announced the lowest vote getter, so either David could have been in 3rd or 4th place. Since we have no way of knowing if they were in the top two or not, the information should not be included in the elimination chart. Aspects (talk) 18:19, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you! In addition to being glaringly inconsistent with the other pages and non-encyclopedic, the neon lime green color was an eye sore. I agree with Aspects that there is no factual nor referential basis to assume the posted information. Tedying (talk) 20:44, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
- well on the finale the video blatantly said that neither david had been in the btm2/3. which means on top 6 week they couldn't have been 4th as that would make them part of the btm 3... they would be at least in the top 3... so labelling them top 3 in top 6 week was correct/ Top 5 and top 4 week they had to have been in the top 2 as any placement lower would make them part of the btm 3. Same for top 4... 92.3.43.141 (talk) 13:15, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- Im totally with Aspects and Tedying on this. I dont know if your the user who was changing this before, but if you look up a few points on the discussion page, there's a whole argument based on this there, as well as the other two posters I just mentioned. (I was the unregistered user in the points above!) =] (Kyleofark (talk) 19:09, 12 April 2009 (UTC))

the semi finals section of the chart makes it look like they performed on the same night especially when there is only one date. We should make different columns for the girls and boys and add in the 'Did Not perform' OK i have just realised the date is for the results show but I still think that there should be different columns as it makes the impression that they performed on the same night and all at once. 92.4.83.254 (talk) 20:39, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Unredirect Kate?
Per a DrV, the following sources have been brought forward. It is worth spinning her article back out?
Hobit (talk) 17:08, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
- Well for one thing her name isn't Kate. Two, no I do not think it is worth her having her own article because she still fails WP:MUSIC. Aspects (talk) 20:34, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
- Good point. People seem unclear on the spelling (those two articles use different spellings I believe). But don't those articles cause her to meet WP:N and therefor WP:MUSIC? Hobit (talk) 20:31, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
[edit] another controversy ?
RCA Records and Capital Entertainment, have released either a CD or DVD for every season of American Idol except Season 7. This appears to be true. I can't find either. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Molecules529 (talk • contribs) 03:13, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
- This is not a controversy, simply a business decision made by the companies. Aspects (talk) 21:32, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
- Comment An editor/administrator needs to correct the Alexis Cohen redirect on this page. Alexis Cohen, the American Idol contestant, now has her OWN Wikipedia page, when you try and enter name, the first thing that comes up is this page, and it comes up under the redirect named of: Alexis cohen. As in her last name of Cohen isn't even capitalized like it should be. Please correct the spelling of her last name of the redirect or just delete the redirect, Alexis Cohen has her OWN WIKIPEDIA article now!98.151.53.27 (talk) 19:15, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
