Amezketa Aralarko mendizerran aurkitzen den herria da, Txindoki mendiaren azpian. Tolosatik 12 km-ra eta Donostiatik 36-ra. 990 pertsona inguru bizi dira bertan eta Julian Sagastume da momentuko alkatea.

Auzo ezberdinetan banaturik aurkitzen da, baina garrantzitsuenak 4 dira:

Ugarte (Herri sarreran aurkitzen da).
San Bartolome Kalea (Plazaren inguru guztia).
Ergoiena Auzoa (Elizaren inguruan biltzen diren erikuntzek osatua).
San Martin (Amezketatik 2 km-ra aurkitzen den kanpa).

Herriko patroia "San Bartolome" da eta beraz bertako festak abuztuaren 24 (San Bartolome Deunaren eguna) inguruan izaten dira. Baina "San Martin" egunean ere festa moduko bat antolatzen da izen bereko auzoan, aipatutako deunaren omenez.

Ospakizun hauetaz gain, inhauterietan, zehazki astelehenean eta igandean, herritarrak etxez-etxe dantzan ibiltzen dira urte askotako ohitura jarraituz
