Status after division[edit]

Is there a source claiming that parts of AP other than Telangana will still be called, Andhra Pradesh after bifurcation as is claimed in the first paragraph? — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 20:21, 5 August 2013 (UTC)

Yes there's a source that claims residual AP is still called as Andhra Pradesh in part - I of 2(j) in AP reorganisation bill.

Status of Telangana[edit]

This article has already started considering Telangana as a separate state, whereas it is still under process. Till the time Constitutional Amendment is notified by the President of India, it remains part of Andhra Pradesh, and the number of states remain 28. I think, this set of changes should be rolled back. (talk) 16:52, 30 July 2013 (UTC)9:52AM 30 July 2013 (PDT)

Yes; I quite agree with this remark. Wikipedia article appears to be MORE enthusiastic than the proponents / protagonists of a separate Telangana State. -- (talk) 00:37, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
This issue is highly contentious. It has been made into an intense and divisive issue by the unscrupulous politicians of this country. Although, the Constitution guarantees freedom and other valuable rights, these politicians have made them invalid to our country. Making statements over the issues without proper intention and neutral verifiable sources is a sure violation of Wikipedia terms - this article has too many biased statements, creating disagreements and differences, especially over current contentious issue like Telangana ( its creation and issues related ). To preserve neutrality I wish, the corresponding team to look into the neutrality of this article. Comments are welcomed. It is my neutral opinion with goodwill. — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 07:43, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
Can you list the sentences which are biased or incorrect? We will do everything to correct them. Ramcrk (talk) 20:40, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

State reorganisation section[edit]

The State reorganisation (which was recently repeatedly blanked with no explanation) is a bit of a mess. I'm largely unfamiliar with the topic, but most of the English in that section is rather garbled, and comes across a bit POV-ish. Anyone more familiar with this topic care to take a pass at fixing up the tone and grammar? OhNoitsJamie Talk 17:52, 6 October 2013 (UTC)

Info & page move request[edit]

As the bifurcation, on june 2nd, the Andhra Pradesh page will be the official page that will consists of seemandhra info like madhya pradesh and uttar pradesh which were divided. So there is no need for separate Seemandhra page. To explain the meaning of seemandhra it can be stated in brief on the andhra pradesh page itself. The cities of this region are well explained in separate pages of Coastal Andhra and rayalaseema. Seemandhra is not an official name for the residual AP it will called as Andhra Pradesh only.Vin09 (talk) 06:36, 9 April 2014 (UTC)

I agree. A brief description can be provided about the three portions of AP and the basis of calling them as such. Valid references for the names should be provided to help the public understand the names and the reasoning behind the names. Ajan (talk) 00:56, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

Addition of important pics in the info box[edit]

Someone workout on vizag sea or port pic so that it can be added in the info box. As vizag is the second largest city in AP.
