Speedying?[edit]

I have removed the hangon tag the article's author placed on the page, and I am not replacing the db-bio tag. This author is apparently notable, as she has had many of her works (of which there are dozens available on Amazon and other retailers) published by notable companies, including Random House.[1] She has won a Christy Award (that article already lists her), which, though I've never heard of it, is obviously notable enough to have a WP page that has existed for almost a year. Also, this site notes that one of her books has over 1,000,000 copies in print in 17 languages. A Google search (which, with her full name in quotes, provides 75,600 hits) is giving me a bit of a tough time in finding reliable sources, if only because so many of the first hits are for e-stores selling her books. However, I definitely think she is more than notable enough for a WP article. -- Kicking222 19:44, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, the text of the article seemed to come from http://www.oregonchristianwriters.org/, so I removed most of it. The information should be re-added in someone's own words. NickelShoe (Talk) 20:55, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Fine with me. I simply wanted to note why I ended a streak of speedy tagging/tag removal. I don't doubt the writer's notability, but doubts about the quality of the article are completely separate. -- Kicking222 23:02, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Despite what looks like a fairly complete bib of this writer's works, I've classified it as a stub because other info seems sketchy. See also the Talk page -- from discussion, it appears an earlier editor removed some plagiarized material, whose info may nonetheless help whoever takes this on to complete the info here. Note the article says she was "born in Winter Haven and grew up in Florida." But where in heck is Winter Haven? --Yksin 04:19, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
