Rewrite[edit]

Re-wrote this page to provide more information and especially point to a number of relevant links. I also removed the stub pointer, at least for now. Comments and suggestions are welcome. --Michel M Verstraete 19:42, 22 June 2006 (UTC).

misleading[edit]

This page is missing critical info, as well as being misleading. The formula given is only valid for small angles, and doesn't help me to calculate the angular distance between, say, two arbitrary points in 3-space as observed from the origin. But, if you use polar coordinates, I found there's some good stuff at [1] and [2] to help this along. -- 99.233.186.4 (talk) 23:00, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
