This definition is incorrect, the APR should not be in the definition, instead the nominal interest rate should be in the definition. Ruerd 14:27, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Effective interest rate, APR and APY

What is the relationship between effective interest rate, annual percentage rate and annual percentage yield? Finnancier (talk) 11:49, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

Could you be more specific about your question? You have linked the articles, so presumably you have read them.--Gregalton (talk) 04:56, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
Sure. Is it accurate to describe APR and APY as ways of expressing an effective interest rate (net of fees)? Are these the only two ways (or maybe the most common ways) of doing so? I understand the concepts (or at least I think I do), but I'm struggling to find a way to relate these three concepts more clearly in the lead paragraphs of these three pages.
