Article expansion[edit]

Rare?[edit]

Is the American DVD rare? I've heard the old VHS editions (which you can still find) are a bit edited.

The Animeigo DVD is out of print and demands hefty prices on places like Amazon and Ebay. The VHS Animeigo edition is uncut, like the DVD. The older VHS editions, from the Just For Kids label are edited as Vengeance of the Space Pirate and was shortened by about 40 minutes. But the version that actually uses the title My Youth in Arcadia is uncut, however some of the music numbers are rearranged. The Just for Kids label liked to truncate the credits or eliminate them totally so even the uncut version of the MYIA Just for Kids VHS ends abruptly after the last scene. If I remember right, the ending song was switched to the middle of the film for this reason.Mr. ATOZ (talk) 19:39, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
