The North Kanto Serial Young Girl Kidnapping and Murder Case[edit]
The "series of murders" listed on this page is known as the North Kanto Serial Young Girl Kidnapping and Murder Case (北関東連続幼女誘拐殺人事件). The Ashikaga case in just one of these. This has been acknowledged widely in Japan, not just by the media and general public but also by the government including the prime minister himself at the time.
