Eh...[edit]

You've got to admit, this is darkly hilarious and speaks volumes about the human nature. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.92.188.72 (talk) 20:43, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

WP article on Schoeps=[edit]

If someone helps me to edit a potential article on Schoeps I will help with translating from the article on him in the German WP. I knew Schoeps by sight and from lectures he gave during his active time at Erlangen, where I was a student. His two sons are alive and might cooperate. ' ... before the persecutions began in earnest' (!)[edit]

'... Schoeps went into exile in Falun, Sweden in 1938, just before the persecutions began in earnest'. Eh, what's all this? In 1933 Jews (with only a small number of exceptions) were banned from employment in the public sector and banned from the media, from universities and secondary schools and were not allowed to work as lawyers ... They did not enjoy police protection if beaten up by Brownshirts, and so on. In 1935 they were formally reduced to second-class citizenship. Why is 'non-earnest' about this persecution? How many were in it?[edit]

Article doesn't say, if it's was only fifty guys like the SS British Free Corps in World War Two it doesn't really mean very much. Historian932 (talk) 00:02, 4 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
