Letter to John Smith[edit]

So there seems to be some dispute about the authenticity of this section, with several reverts by User:Tonylongman and various IP users (same person?). Let's talk about this here before continuing an edit war. Why should this section be removed? It is in fact the only actual sourced content in the entire article. The story on the letter was published by a major newspaper in the UK (And mentioned in major newspapers in Trinidad [1] [2]). What basis is there that this should not be mentioned? Please remember the Wikipedia is not for Orginal research, we are just an encyclopedia of published information. Rasadam (talk) 07:26, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I put the article up for review at the Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard in an effort to have some additional opinions weighed in on the issue. I was hoping the user(s) that kept removing the section would participate in discussing it, but it doesn't appear to be happening. If they read this, I would suggest discussing the issue here/there asap. Rasadam (talk) 06:15, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
