Removal of relevant info by 203.17.171.43[edit]

This person persists in removing relevant information from this page... what are we to do? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mjspe1 (talkcontribs) 03:03, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

ipgp.net says that this IP address belongs to VICTORIAN DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS AND EMPLOYMENT... --Mjspe1 03:06, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

Just check the date. I wrote this mid 2007, nothing to do with the management crisis. Mjspe1 (talk) 01:48, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

3 GeV[edit]

Could somebody please explain in the article what "3 GeV" means? Corvus cornix 17:32, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

You're on an encyclopedia. ;-) I looked it up and instantly got an answer. Therequiembellishere 23:39, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Then you're a better person than I am, obviously since we have no article at 3 GeV. Corvus cornix 23:41, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Perhaps if we were to look up GeV? --The Chairman (talk · contribs) 14:35, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Thank you. Wish I had thought of that.  :) Corvus cornix 18:29, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Haha, no worries. --The Chairman (talk · contribs) 07:33, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Management crisis[edit]

Am I missing something here ? The edit history doesn't seem to show any edits removing info about the 2009 management crisis. (N.B. editing as IP to show I'm not from the Victorian government) 70.76.76.165 (talk) 17:53, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

Seems I may have jumped to conclusions. I had just come from reading the latest Age article to see that a branch of the Victorian government had been "removing relevant information" on the AS article. I will remove that assertion and just go with mention of the current management crisis.--Phil Wardle (talk) 22:19, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

I have re-added the Management crisis section after it was removed by someone purporting to be the Senior IT Support Officer of the Australian synchrotron - http://www.synchrotron.org.au/index.php/about-us/working-at-the-synchrotron/staff-contact/staff/mr-tim-butler2 is clearly the user timmybutler (if genuine). 8-September 2011 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fossil1961 (talkcontribs) 20:05, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

Staffing cuts[edit]

there are clearly rumours out there about staffing cuts but the statement needs to be sourced if it's going to be included in the article. I can't find any RS that mentions staffing cuts. MuppetLabTech (talk) 21:43, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

http://www.sciencemag.org/content/337/6092/278.full?sid=a3c996fc-0425-459a-8f67-37b1e9910577 now cites the staffing cuts. Fossil1961 (talk) 13:10, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
