The National Shrine is the largest Catholic church in all of the Americas. The text in the article is incorrect. There are important distinctions in terminology at play here both in the Catholic world and without. Denomination is important to note, as Catholics do not recognize protestant communities as being legitimate. Therefore, to Catholics, Episcopal church structures are not "churches" strictly speaking. This distinction leads some writing from the Catholic perspective to not mention this and only consider Catholic churches--as does the source cited in the article. Also important is the distinction between church and cathedral. It is best to think of these as being sets. Churches, or more clearly church structures, are any purpose built building that houses Christian worship services. Cathedrals are the seat (literally the location of the Bishop's cathedra or chair) of a diocese, they are a subset of the set of churches. These distinctions allow for the following size distinctions to be made regarding church structures in the Americas: The unfinished Episcopal Cathedral of St. John the Divine will be the largest church structure in the Americas upon completion. The Episcopal National Cathedral in Washington D.C. is the largest finished church structure in the Americas. The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception is largest Catholic church structure in the Americas (this includes all cathedrals). The Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral in Mexico City is the largest Catholic cathedral in the Americas, although it is smaller than the National Shrine as the National Shrine is not a cathedral. St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York is the largest Catholic cathedral in the US--yet still smaller than the National Shrine. You have already done this in your posting -- it would be tough to improve upon what you have written (it provides lots of clarity, IMO, and it has even provided clarification on the whole "largest Catholic Church" contention), so just incorporate your text into the article per WP:BOLD. It isn't the largest Church in the Americas. The Basilica of Our Lady of Aparecida is larger, as well as the newly inaugurated Temple of Solomon (an Evangelical Christian church despite the name), both in Brazil. Architecture

The style of the National Shrine cannot be romanesque, because it was built in the 20th century. The Romanesque was a style in the Middle Ages. Therefore, the National Shrine can only be Neoromanesque. This is self-explanatory. I'm changing the concerning entry. I have to agree that a 20th C. structure can't be Romanesque, so yes Neo-Romanesque (or if there were a number in the period it was built: 'Romanesque-Revival', which there certainly was in the 19th C., but I don't know about 20th C.) In any case it's actual quite ecclectic to pin down so simply; closer to Modern with Romanesque vocabulary and motifs. However, the reason for my comment is that articles on the architecture of a building NEED a floor plan, for architecture that's basic.
