I edited the overview section as the previous version merely repeated more detailed information found elsewhere in the entry. Also the sentence describing it as "affluent" is not needed when there is detailed information about household income in the entry. If someone can cite information detailing its ranking of household income in the state or nation, then it may be relevant. But to merely say, "it is the most affluent part of Nashville" does not provide near the insight as that offered in the specific Census data found in the entry. Also, I removed references to Belle Meade Boulevard and "The Boulevard" because it made little sense. I think the street may be deserving of a section within the entry, but only if someone can add some depth of insight into its history, length, topography, beautification process, controversies surrounding its layout, etc. I also slightly edited the description of the city hall because it is used for many more purposes that those described. -- Rexhammock 04:54, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
I removed content pertaining to Belle Meade Country Club. As this is an entry about the entire City of Belle Meade, it should follow the guidelines for writing a Wikipedia U.S. city article. This article should focus specifically on the city, itself, not on information regarding the institutions located in the city.
If the contributor would like to start another article regarding the country club and would then like to link to it from this entry, that new article would be a more appropriate article to include such information.
