Formal name[edit]

The official name of this station is Belorusskaya Railway Station, not Smolenskaya Railway Station. Please help interchange the redirect page and the article page. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wetitpig0 (talkcontribs) 04:48, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Wetitpig0: if you believe this renaming is uncontroversial, please post it at WP:RM#TR. Anyone who objects will be able to move the request to the “contested“ section, but otherwise someone will move the article (with its history) over the redirect.—Odysseus1479 07:25, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nobody in Russia call it Smolenskaya Railway Station, but as usual our western partners know better. I suppose they soon start teaching Russians Russian language. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.165.173.131 (talk) 23:52, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The Moscow-Passenger-Smolenskaya is a railway station and the Belorusskiy terminal is a passenger terminal at this station --Vаdiм (talk) 15:44, 28 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Architect[edit]

The article states "The station was designed by architect Ivan Strukov[ru]." This is not possible or, at least, the Ivan Strukov to which the link directs, is not the right Ivan Strukov. He was born in 1864. Unless he was an incredible architectural prodigy, he would not have designed a station that opened in 1870. Can someone please advise? Can anyone offer opinion on the architectural style? It seems an example of the Slav-Russo-Byzantine Revival but I am not an expert. Normanthehat (talk) 10:29, 31 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
