  • Quite a few links to Singleton's article for a page that doesn't have a TOC.
  • "first appeared" First participated sounds better.
  • "; and" Comma instead of semicolon.
  • A link to the 2006 Winter Olympics would be neat.
  • "His first day saw run times of 47 seconds and 48.7 seconds. After the first day, he was in 44th place." Change to "His first day saw run times of 47 seconds and 48.7 seconds, finishing at 44th place at the end of the day."
  • "gaining 7 places" Write out seven.
