Ubuntu Dependency[edit]

In fact neither is there anything in the several packages that requires Ubuntu, nor is there a documented path to bring up from sources as stated in the article text, it's monolithically distributed as a monstrous Ubuntu pkg, or a VMWare VM. The sources are available at github however and it's fairly clear how to proceed to bring it up on any lsb system, but there's nothing supporting that, just documentation of the monolithic install (besides the project documentation at google code). 76.180.168.166 (talk) 05:31, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It is based on GNU/Linux[edit]

"It is based on GNU/Linux operating system" sound as if this was a kernel extension, not a program. For another example, the article on WinAMP does NOT state that it 'is based on Microsoft Windows', because OS host and software base are not the same thing.

  • You're absolutely right. I changed the wording now. Gromobir (talk) 09:55, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That might provide some leads (e.g. to the history of it).
