Was it a public execution?[edit]

The article states: "The deaths were witnessed by a reported one thousand people" and yet I believe the last public execution in England was in 1867. Did prison execution chambers really accommodate so many witnesses? 81.157.243.141 (talk) 00:52, 2 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
