Notes[edit]

BookmarkSync was the first bookmark synchronization system available on the web (started in 1999) and its client software is currently supported in 7 different languages. It has a smaller following than some of the other social bookmarking sites currently being marketed by Google and Yahoo but it is still should meet the notability guidelines for Wikipedia both in length of operation and uniqueness of its offering. In addition, its bookmark database is arguably as mature as the most popular social sites in operation today.

BookmarkSync features a unique 'clustering' system that makes social bookmarking passive and essentially effortless to the user.

I would like to open a discussion with anyone that would argue that it should be removed from Wikipedia.

That would be great to add to the article, especially if you can cite it! Dreamyshade 23:39, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is this defunct?[edit]

The software is ten years old, many of the URLs on the website are 404 errors, and the homepage says the entire bookmarks DB is down for maintenance, with no indicate when that notice was put up or when the maintenance will be completed. For all we know, it may have already been like this for years.  — SMcCandlish ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ʌ≼  03:20, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
