[edit] Smoker

is Bridget a smoker ????? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.114.17.67 (talk) 16:16, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

That's trivia that generally will not show up in a Wikipedia article. - SummerPhD (talk) 20:51, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Sourcing to imdb

Just for the record, we have discussed imdb before and decided it isn't a reliable source. - SummerPhD (talk) 16:56, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

None of those things appear to be part of any binding RFD or decision and most involve situations where there is a conflict between IDMB information and other sources. Can you point to a clear statement that IMDB bio information is *prohibited* from use on wikipedia? Fixentries (talk) 00:58, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Very little is "prohibited" on Wikipedia. In terms of sourcing, you seem to have it backwards. It is not my job to prove that your source (IMDb) is not reliable. Per Wikipedia:SOURCES#Sources it is your job to establish that IMDb has "a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy". Before wasting your time, though, I would suggest reading the proposed guideline on this matter. When examining the issue, we have repeatedly found that, with very limited exception, material in IMDb is simply not reliable for the kind of info you are citing. - SummerPhD (talk) 13:19, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] "Irish"

This page is within the category "Americans of Irish descent," which I'm going to challenge as the article doesnt mention a single word about it, and as a result, doesnt prove it. Americans have this strange "Irish" craze that no one seems to understand, and I'm suspecting that this is a result of that. —ᚹᚩᛞᛖᚾᚻᛖᛚᛗ (ᚷᛖᛋᛈᚱᛖᚳ) 14:47, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Plenty of Americans owe their ancestry to Ireland; it's a simple fact. Nothing wrong with them showing a little pride in their heritage. "No one seems to understand?" That's a pretty broad generalization there.

Anyway, here's a direct quote from Bridget (and it's no fabrication, I assure you):

"My mom and all her sisters are named Mary. Mary Catherine, Mary Margaret, Mary Martha… Yes, I’m that Irish Catholic."

The source is taken from an interview with Catherine Doyle, a writer for a gossip rag of sorts. See below:

[edit] Photo?

It would be nice to add a photo of this actress on this page, but I got lost under the technical jargon of "copyrights," "fair use," "public domain," and the like... so much that I'm unsure which photo I can find that would fit under the guidelines. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.229.82.68 (talk) 04:54, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
