- Actually this is an Azores Cattle Dog. Photographed in Helsinki couple of years ago, so ears are not cropped because born in Finland. The following picture is of a female Fila with cropped ears and docked tail. It could be used to exemplify the traditional appearance of the breed. 
Or a male fila
And a 46 days old puppy with unaltered ears
The Saint Miguel Cattle Dog or "Cão de Fila de São Miguel" should not be named Azores Cattle Dog since the Terceira Cattle Dog or "Barbado da Terceira" is also from Azores, the Fila from São Miguel (Island) and Barbado from Terceira (Island). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jmop (talk • contribs) 18:48, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
