In the media[edit]

This plane is somewhat well-know, albeit unconsciously, as the mothership of aerial pirates in Miyazaki's Porco Rosso animated movie. The type's nickname is where the "Momma aiuto!" air-pirate gang got its name from. 82.131.210.163 (talk) 11:24, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The pirate's main aircraft was instead a Dornier Wal (albeit with twin rudders) rather than a Cant 501. Note the presence of sponsons, twin push-pull engines and square wing planform which do not match the Cant.NiD.29 (talk) 06:12, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Combat performance[edit]

This section appears to be repetitive. 2A00:23C7:3119:AD01:5135:5D1B:CEE4:523D (talk) 02:41, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
