Player information

I have made a new table showing the first team players using a template i found on another page. What do people think of it? is it better or worse than before? --BurtonH0123 (talk) 16:56, 20 September 2009 (UTC)

Reg Smart

• Recent editor added note about Reg Smart stepping down from role (unspecified) in early 2006. I cannot find any verification for this elsewhere on the web - could this statement be clarified? -- MightyWarrior 12:03, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

The official website lists Baker as the current chairman and Smart as life president, so I believe this information to be correct. Although I can't find any verification for the fact that he resigned in early 2006, at http://www.cambridge-united.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/Feature/0,,10423%7E793946,00.html it does state that Baker was named president on 20/02/2006. --Oli 22:21, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

Yes, but Reg Smart ceased to be chairman (stepped down from board of directors) in 2002; see http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/cambridge_utd/1789540.stm. So what role did he step down from in 2006?? -- MightyWarrior 23:48, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

Headings

Seems to be too many sub-headings in the history section (more of User:AlexWilkes edits). Can I suggest that the sections are combined, rather than having one sentence per heading? WikiGull 13:50, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

• I did do this some time ago when there were many more headings, but I would agree there are still too many, especially the first few which could probably come under one 'older' history section. Why not have a go WikiGull? Oli 15:50, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

New Kit

Cambridge United have today released a new Home kit and as I am not very experianced with Editing football related articals I am going to suggest someone else to do it. The new kit looks like this,

The away colours need changing. The away kit is light blue, the 3rd kit is white.

Women's Team

I've added a short sentence about this under players in line with a lot of other club pages, but I can't find much information about it. I think it would be beneficial to have something about this if any information can be found. Oli 22:32, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

History

I think the History section is too long and needs condensing, with a longer history (including more pre-league era information) being created on a separate linked-to page. I will start to do this unless anyone has any objections? Oli 22:36, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

Fandom

An unnamed editor today (21/08/2007) added a section entitled 'Fandom' to the article. I've since removed this as there's already a section on 'Supporters', and most of the information read like an advertisement (price and sale information) and was thus unsuitable for Wikipedia (see WP:SOAP). I've put a more objective sentence on 'United in Endeavour' in the supporters section which I think is more appropriate. Oli 22:59, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

New Current Season Page

I have created a new page showing this season for Cambridge United. I am slightly unsure that i have included everything, in particular transfers, as for me the Cambridge utd website has not been working for me. Could somebody please take a look at it and help take it forward. By the way, i am happy to keep the results table up to date throughout the season so this is not an issue.
