Just curious why the other two images were removed, and what is "GDC" that "confirmed" the identity of the cover artist currently displayed?Michael DoroshTalk 04:42, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Michael. For an encylopedia article about a comics character, it's essentially de riguer to have his or her first comic book pictured. The cover of Fightin' Army #76 also benefits from having a full-on shot that clearly illustrates the character. Since this is a short entry, there wasn't room for additional art, and so you'd want to go with the most encyclopedic shot.
Hope you get a chance to read the Sam Glanzman article I wrote! I still have to flesh out the DC Comics and later career sections, but I think it's a good start, and I hope you'll contribute to it yourself. --Tenebrae 19:15, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. -- I didn't know the Table of Contents could be removed that way! That's a handy thing to be able to do with short articles. Thanks for pointing that out! --Tenebrae 19:16, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge?[edit]

@Fortdj33: - Just curious why "The Devil's Brigade (comics)" was merged into this article, when there is no mention of the "The Devil's Brigade" in this article at all? - theWOLFchild 02:05, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

New section[edit]

According to Will Franz, The Lonely War of Capt. Willy Schultz was canceled and he was effectively blacklisted from the comic book industry after it was reported that American soldiers in Viet Nam were reading and enjoying the comics. Mr. Franz confirmed this on May 1st, 2018 at the offices of Independence Care Systems in Manhattan, NY~Philip Bennett~ --— Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.228.35.14 (talkcontribs) at 18:46, 25 April 2018‎

Where did he claim this? What is your source?--Tenebrae (talk) 21:01, 26 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
