Gig on May 11th 1973[edit]

Originally, this was quoted as being at "North Staffs Polytechnic - Stoke (on-Trent)". This was incorrect - the gig actually took place at the Stafford site of North Staffs Polytechic - at Beaconside, to be irritatingly precise!!! Therefore I have corrected it. Marley and the Wailers were one of 3 acts on the bill - all part of NSP's Rag Week Ball. I was actually at the gig, and witnessed The Wailers tuning up, but I knew absolutely nothing about them. As soon as I heard the distinctive Reggae sound ("Oom Chuka, oom chuka, etc) I legged it, as I couldn't stand reggae - still can't! Other artistes on the bill were Claire Hammill (singer-songwriter from Teesside) and Roy Wood's Wizzard. Taff Hewitt (talk) 00:07, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
