Title[edit]

Since the Portuguese version of the article on the American Midwest was translated under the name of Centro-Oeste, it is logical to assume, by analogy, that the Brazilian Centro-Oeste region should be translated to English as "Mid-West", considering that no standard name has been set for such translation. Therefore, I propose the changing of this article's name to "Mid-Western region, Brazil". Popotão (talk) 11:09, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

One source does use Midwest (see http://www.investexportbrasil.gov.br/midwest-region?l=en), but the most important geography institute on Brazil (IBGE) uses Central West (see https://www.ibge.gov.br/en/geosciences/territorial-organization/regional-division/21536-regional-divisions-of-brazil.html?=&t=o-que-e). So the article should remain as Central-West. Mateussf (talk) 16:36, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
