Sources and scope[edit]

The article seems to reflect the personal experience of a parent with a child who has hydrocephalus. Hence, it lacks sources and utterly neglects to discuss the use of shuntage in other neurological conditions from meningitis to IIH and back to neurotrauma. Needs work, guys. Spitz-Holter Shunt[edit]

The Spitz-Holter shunt in my case contains non ferrous metal, which can interfere with the imaging during MRI scans of the head. I discovered this today during an MRI scan. Webhat (talk) 12:32, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Shunt routing - LP Shunts[edit]

I also suggest the lumbar-peritoneal shunt article be merged with this one, both since the content overlap as well as the fact that a cerebral shunt procedure is generally conducted along with a lumbar-peritoneal connection.

Contrast Internal and External shunts[edit]
