Month start[edit]

Being Indian i know that Hindu months dont start on a specific day in all regional calendars. Means Full moon or new moon. This article also doesnt distinguish that clearly for all regions. Can anyone, who knows well, do that? Maharahstrian calendar starts from Amavasya (new moon day). Hence, as stated in here, Hanuman Jayanti which is celebrated on Pournima (full moon day) everywhere, is not the last day of Maharashtrian Chaitra. -Animeshkulkarni (talk) 17:04, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
