Does anyone know anything about the remake of this film? It was shot in Montreal and starred Hugh Grant. I don't recall when, early 80's maybe? It was on the cover of the local TV Guide at the time.m Seminumerical 22:26, 17 September 2005 (UTC)seminumerical[reply]

A very late reply, having just seen this. But for anyone reading that question, please se Champagne Charlie (TV series). It's not a remake, but a totally different story, about Charles Heidsieck, the French champagne wine merchant who was also called "Champagne Charlie".Thomas Blomberg (talk) 08:34, 18 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Could someone familiar with the film cut the Plot length to under 700 words?[edit]

Right now the Plot section is too long at 865 words. It needs trimming by at least 20% so that, per WP:FILMPLOT, it is between 400 and 700 words. Would someone who is familiar with the film or the storyline be willing to do that?

Also, please indicate in the lede, in the Plot section, and in the Cast list (all three places) that Joe Saunders became George Leybourne, and that Leybourne was not his birth name. Thanks! Softlavender (talk) 13:03, 18 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Instead[edit]

Hi, this note is just to clarify that the word "instead" does not need commas, especially not in the construction used in this article. If necessary, I can provide reference materials to substantiate this. Thanks. :) Softlavender (talk) 23:18, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
