geology -- glacial lake remnant?[edit]

Looking at google maps satelite views, it seems there is a broad drainage from the cheyanne bottoms area to the southeast. Perhaps the north fork of the canadian river -- that flows through oklahoma city -- was the repeated drain from glacial meltwater, during a period when glaciations reached that far south. Drought[edit]

It might be worthy to add that the bottoms are going dry in the face of the drought that has hit central Kansas over the last few years. 173.166.109.49 (talk) 13:38, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
