I read that Chinley Churn is 1484 feet high - hardly a nondescript hill, surely?

I live below Chinley Churn/ Cracken Edge and believe me it is not a nondescript hill!

I am currently looking at Chinley Churn, and there is nothing spectacular about it. It's a very nice hill, and it's pleasant to walk up, but there's nothing really much else to say about it, or to distinguish it from dozens of others.--Rat 22:44, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

mehh either way....I think the population figure is way off now as well, if you look at how many houses have been built in chinley recently....Oatey 22:30, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

I've removed something to do with the "notourious" Chinley Climbing Club. If notorious, then not widely, as there is no (other) reference to them anywhere else. If it's added back in, please add some sort of source. Also removed a list of all the shops in the village, which seemed a little unnecessary. RattusMaximus (talk) 00:09, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
