Misinterpretation[edit]

During his first appearance in replying to a judge's question on whether he had vocal training, Choi said he studied on his own, but took master classes whenever he had opportunities..[5]

I just watched the video and the (as per usual, imprecise) interpretation of what was being said. I do not believe he said he took master classes when ever he had opportunities. I believe he said that he would take master classes if given the opportunity. Spelling[edit]

How do you spell his name is? I saw three ways. "Sung Bong" and "Sung-Bong" and "Sung-bong"?

His name is 최 성봉 崔聖峯 Sungbong Choi in his official document ( Korean ID & passport etc ) And please do not touch his date of birth. Korean has a different way of counting their age that confuse us. Newborns start at one year old, and each passing of a Lunar New Year, rather than the birthday, adds one year to the person's age in Korea. His date of birth is 18 Feb, 1990.

Potts & Boyles[edit]

I don't think that the comparison with Paul Potts and Susan Boyles is necessary -- it looks like an attempt to fill the article with (irrelevant) information because there is not enough substantial information on Choi Sung-Bong yet. --UltraEdit (talk) 20:41, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Practically every source about him has noted that connection. when they covered him on television, the tagline was "Successor to Susan Boyle and Paul Potts?" Thus, it is extremely relevant to include that comparison because it is highly covered. Silver seren^C 18:30, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hospitalization[edit]

The article says he had been hospitalized at 'Kun Yang University hospital.' The reference was hard to follow, since it is to a news source that gets updated; however I believe I found the right article by using the site's search function. In it, I could find nothing about his accident. Since he was in Daejeon, the hospital referred to is almost certainly Konyang University hospital. I'll try to find a Korean source to check. There are absolutely no references to verify his background story. Was this article based entirely on his appearance on Korea's got Talent? Unless you read Korean then no dice, all the articles you can find in english online state Korean news articles as their sources. I've made some changes to this article[edit]

I'm very new to Wiki editing so please forgive me if I've made any mistakes. I've made changes to this Wiki entry about Choi Sung-Bong to tighten up the writing style, but I'm stuck on how to cite the references and their numbering - both in the body of the article sections and the lists at the bottom. All I get when I click on "Edit" for the lists at the bottom of the page is a word which says "== References ==

".

Can anyone help me please? Thanks. (That's another thing I've just discovered. There's a gap between the final " and the final } in the last sentence of the previous paragraph which only shows up when I've saved this and not in the preview).

Why I renamed to Choi Sung-bong[edit]

The main reason why I renamed this article to Choi Sung-bong is that unlike Sandara Park, he is more commonly known in the media as Choi Sung-bong. The name Sungbong Choi isn't as common in news articles, although he does go by that name only on social media. Also, it's per Korean naming conventions.
