Is Latin America not partially part of North America? -- Zoe

As I understand it, North America is Panama and everything north of it; South America starts at Columbia. Latin America is those American countries with Spanish or Portugese backgrounds; Mexico, definitiely part of North America, is Latin American; but some South American countries are arguably not Latin American, e.g. Suriname, which is of Dutch and African background. -- An.

You are quite right. But to make Latin America and North America to be different things is not right. Part of Latin America is in North America. -- Zoe

I wonder whether Kevin McFadden is in any way related to Gates McFadden (who played Beverly Crusher in Star Trek: The Next Generation)? Seems like a bit of a coincidence, with his pen name being Christopher PikeDanc 10:29, 24 Jun 2004 (UTC)

It is unlikely; if he is related to Gates McFadden they are only a few years apart in age (so possible cousins or brother and sister). Also, he published Cheerleaders #2: Getting Even as "Christopher Pike" in 1985... Star Trek: The Next Generation didn't start until 1987... so it could NOT have been in tribute to her being on the show. In other words, it would be a major coincidence if they are related (or their family loved Star Trek, ha ha).

[edit] About spooksville and about the bestselling part

Hi; have been a fan of his books for more than a decade now. So im kind of surprised not to see more mention or information about him; or his books. Which i would expect to each have their own wiki page.

Oh well; anyways 2 questions:

bestselling: new york bestseller? how many books sold? is he rich? is that why he doesnt write much anymore?

about his spooksville serie: i loved it; and i still love it. However not accesssible; not even buyable; since out of stock. book 11, 17 and 18 are available on the web via ebook; im wondering if someone knows where to get the others. Or where to buy them at a reasonable price. In Canada; or Montreal if possible :D

I do not find 200$ for a used book of 120 pages; or 8$ for likewise+ air freight cost to be reasonable :/

thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.212.149.228 (talk) 17:40, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit] This Article has multiple issues

It has been tagged as "unreferenced" since Jan 2009. I have now added a couple of references and a reflist, but this is not really enough to meet Wikipedia's standards. Subject is IMO sufficiently Notable for a Wikipedia page but this article needs a lot of work, reliable third party references adding and Trivia deleting. If anyone would like to discuss this with me, please post a message on my Talk page.--Plad2 (talk) 07:31, 7 February 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Possible Mythology Section

I feel like the statement "References to Egyptian, Greek and Hindu mythology are also common" should be substantiated. I think there is enough material within Christopher Pike's writing to create a mythology subsection on the main page (similar to "the Name Ann") to properly break down which books reference who/what and to cite them properly. I'm happy to get this process started with regards to his teen fiction, although I'm not as familiar with his adult or children's books.

Thoughts? Feel free to discuss possibilities with me here or on my talk page. I'd love a consensus on whether or not this is a good idea before I start the process of aggregating and citing everything. Shellyquade (talk) 18:05, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
