The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostlic Faith is not an AFrican American church. It has never been. While the predominate group attending is African American, the belief is that ALL Nations belong to the church that started on the day of Pentacost. There has been Asains, Lations, Whites, people that are Native Americans, that attended and belonged to the church. WE have embraced and communicated with `people from all over the world.

Unfortunately race was a barrier for some. They would not embrace a minister of color. His ministry was during a time when people openly practiced segregation. Bishop Johnson has always rejected church based on color, only wanting to reach the souls of men and women headed for a hell that will burn forever and ever. Those souls would be in all colors of skin.

Will Change[edit]

Am changing description to say "predominantly" instead of what it appears to say.--Thoscsii 05:24, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV[edit]

When I started this page, I moved a lot of stuff from another page here, not editing for neutrality. I may add some information that I got from the sermons and writings of Bishop Lawson, but I'm going to leave it to someone more steeped in that church to edit it from here. Please back up whatever you say with something that can be read in print, particularly sources from that period of time.--Thoscsii 20:10, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Both articles claim a founding year of 1919. However, the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith article claims that the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ broke away from it in 1930. Therefore both articles appear to claim that their subject is the "original" church. Accurizer (talk) 21:59, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bold move, restored old version.[edit]

I've struggled with this page for quite a while, trying to copy-edit some clarity into it. However, I gave up. It's a mess [1]. So I restored the most recent version I could find which was accurate, neutral and readable [2]. Hope this helps.    SIS  22:12, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the move. Accurizer (talk) 00:08, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
With all due respect to user Wisdomspeaks, but I can't make anything from new contributions like:
"The Lord blessed Bishop Johnson beyond measure with the blessing of Joseph's youngest son, Ephraim, according to Israel's blessing, which established him to be the 14th Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ because through his evangelizing many souls were saved by repenting, being baptized and receiving the Holy Ghost"
or
"After he went to sleep on February 22, 1961 his voice is still recognized for the sound that went throughout the world and is being lifted up like the sun when the children of Israel was on the battlefield by the Whole Truth Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith".
Just restored the last good version[3] again.    SIS  14:17, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
