Cityplace is not notable or significant outside of Winnipeg. It is notable in, and in the context of, the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, which is why it should be described in that article. Pan Dan 16:20, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • No, it's a big and notable mall, and it should have its own article. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 20:52, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose merger. Information on City Place has no place in the general Winnipeg article, as it is not pertinent to information about the City itself. In my view, the case for deletion is stronger than the case for merger. --207.161.7.220 18:36, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Opposed. Not clear why this article should be merged, yet the hundreds of other articles on shopping malls shouldn't. It is actually a historic building of some significance, although one wouldn't know it from the article as currently written. Skeezix1000 00:06, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. --Usgnus 03:30, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • oppose merger. The article should stand on its own. The article itself could explore the signifigance of the development; historic, political economic, social, etc. Stormbay 03:20, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Disinclination 04:06, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nom closing debate given obvious consensus against merge. Pan Dan 09:37, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
