I clicked on Hedwig and got to the page of someone born in 1374, decades after the 1320 coronation. Something is wrong here, and I don't know how to fix it. ...... -- PFHLai 09:54, 2005 Jan 14 (UTC)

There are a lot of Hedwig's (Jadwiga's) in Polish history :)
Hedwig was the wife of Wladyslaw Jagiello.
The wife of Ladislaus I of Poland was also named Hedwig but born abt. 1270/1275 (daughter of Boleslaw the Pious, mother of Casimir III of Poland)--Emax 10:06, Jan 14, 2005 (UTC)
Thanks, again. I've removed the bad link to the wrong Hedwig. -- PFHLai 11:35, 2005 Jan 14 (UTC)

Wrong dates?[edit]

This article claims that Sophia of Halshany was crowned on 12 February 1424, but the article about Sophia claimed that she was crowned on 5 March. Which date is correct? Surtsicna (talk) 20:25, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Now I found out that the article about Hedwig of Kalisz says that she was crowned on 30 January, not 20 January as this article claims. What's right?! Can we get some sources for this article? Surtsicna (talk) 20:45, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Moved page: Royal coronations in Poland to Coronations in Poland[edit]

  • Oppose. Royal coronations is a well established encyclopaedic term used throughout Europe, including in England. There's nothing obvious about Coronations (as such) being automatically Royal, because they can albo be Imperial, or Papal... and so on. See also: coronation sentence examples. Thanks, Poeticbent talk 21:01, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • That is ridiculous. There was never a papal or imperial coronation in Poland. You are aware of that, or at least I hope you are. "Royal coronations" cannot possibly be as "established" as coronations, which is why the article about coronations is titled Coronation. "Royal coronations in Poland" implies that there were non-royal ones, which is highly misleading. Surtsicna (talk) 23:32, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. This probably should have been discussed on the talk page of the former article before it was done; however, since the article is here, I support leaving it here. - Ecjmartin (talk) 22:20, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Neutral. I don't see much difference either way. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:49, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
