Court Line's 'gamble' wasn't the cause of its demise - there were many more factors involved, largely Court Line's parent company's precariously highly geared investment in the shipping and leisure industry sectors and the fuel crisis of 1973. Court Line as a carrier was a viable business but a proposed MBO was rejected as its liquidation value was needed to pay off the debts of its parent company .... allegedly!!

Well feel free to amend the article accordingly. GRAHAMUK 06:56, 26 Sep 2003 (UTC)

[edit] Reference superscripts

Hi. This seems a comprehensive history, but I'd say has too many reference superscripts appearing within it. Could there be say just one per paragraph that list the references for that paragraph, rather than one or more per sentence (or even clause), please? 213.246.90.75 (talk) 19:03, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
