Odd silence[edit]

There is nothing about the disasterous loans the Crown Agents made to Stonehouse and Stern in the early 1970's.

About £200,000,000 was lost. About £40,000,000 went to William Stern. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.123.215.180 (talk) 09:51, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Some £350,000 was invested in Stonehouse by the Crown Agents. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.123.215.180 (talk) 10:06, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

These are pertinent comments. I have added an article on the Crown Agnets' role in the secondary banking and property crisis. I hope it is not removed - I have had previous experience of "contributors" removing references to their company being rescued.Bebington (talk) 10:30, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have also added a couple of paragraphs into the History section. The 1959 Abbott history could well be used as a source by anybody wanting to strengthen the pre-1960 history. Abbott worked at the Agents all his life and finished as Secretary to the Crown Agents.Bebington (talk) 15:14, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that this material should be included. Dormskirk (talk) 16:34, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The company is working in partnership with ministries, governments, institutions, donors, foundations, philanthropists and the private sector to tackle complex challenges, ranging from procuring and delivering COVID-19 vaccines to hard to reach locations to delivering essential health services to the population of South Sudan.[edit]

Reads like promotional material. We need an encyclopedic description. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.136.239.157 (talk) 11:00, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree and have removed it. Dormskirk (talk) 11:02, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
