Common?[edit]

Is this an American phrase? I get it but I can't recall ever hearing it used where I'm from. This doesn't seem like a common sports phrase. As a Canadian hockey fan, I haven't heard any commentator use it. 122.1.124.211 (talk) 05:06, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am Canadian and I hear it used all the time for players that get a brief call up. Maybe not as much as I used to but it is still a common phrase. -DJSasso (talk) 17:09, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This article is very short and little more than an glossary entry. It can be handled within the List of baseball jargon and indeed an entry is already there. The tag saying that the article could benefit from having images added is misguided. What kind of image? A cup of coffee? A cartoon?--Mack2 (talk) 15:51, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
