Stub Ranking[edit]

What else is there to say really? I personally think the stub should be removed.-— Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.128.63.0 (talk) 16:02, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, if you wonder who took of the stub templates long time ago, that was me :) you're not colorblind, it's colored this way. Misteryoshi 14:19, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

4 sensors[edit]

i've just hooked up my DK Bongos to a USB adapter - it's worth noting that there are actually 2 sensors on each drum (making 4 in total). the left bongo has a button for Y and B (equivalent buttons on GC pad) and the right has one for X and A. i don't think the ability to press these seperately has ever been used in any games.-— Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.43.100.107 (talk) 13:16, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Areas of the sensors on each drum are divided by a curved line on the flexible "drumhead" covering. Clapping is equivalent to pressing Z on the GC pad.-— Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.163.100.137 (talk) 20:21, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've noticed that you can use the DK Bongos to play Super Smash Bros. Melee, but you can only jump, A attack, B attack, and grab. The only character that you can move left or right with on your own is Jigglypuff. (Jigglypuff's B attack causes him to rollout in the direction that it's facing.) It's actually pretty fun to play as Jigglypuff with the DK Bongos.-— Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.163.100.137 (talk) 20:21, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually the microphone is equivalent to one of the triggers on the GC pad, but not Z. You can tell because I tried to play Super Smash Bros. Melee and the shield is activated by yelling in the microphone, and the shield size is based on how loud you are (just like the analog L/R triggers).-— Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.191.74.192 (talk) 17:54, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it's funny to play Melee with the bongos, especially when you yell at them to shield.-— Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.191.74.192 (talk) 17:54, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It also works on Super Smash Bros. Brawl (It's compatible with gcn controllers). I'm not so sure about the Virtual Console version of Super Smash Bros. though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.138.113.107 (talk) 02:08, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Any other modern games?[edit]

Are there modern DK games that don't require the bongos?-— Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.188.172.165 (talk) 23:04, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unless you count DK 64,no.Not that I know of.--Captain Capatilism 18:32, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

None of these games require the bongos and can be played with a regular controller, although, it is less fun at times. Also, I believe that DK: King of Swing and the GBA versions of the DKC games do not use the bongos when used with the Game Boy Player. --Thaddius 17:44, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
