Denis Jenkinson was also involved in establishing the sport of drag racing in the UK in the 1960s. He competed in an Allard dragster fitted with a Ford supercharged 1½ litre engine.Rupertlt (talk) 16:13, 13 March 2009 (UTC) I think Denis Jenkinson's earlier motorcycle was a NorBSA, a BSA Gold Star 500cc engine in a modified and lowered Norton frame. He competed on the bike at the Brighton Speed Trials Sept 14, 1963. For photograph see Motor Sport, Nov 1963, P916. Rupertlt (talk) 16:47, 13 April 2009 (UTC) From: http://www.classicdriver.com This 'TriBSA' special motorcycle...was first used by Jenks at Loton Park in August 1976 before being campaigned energetically at such hillclimb courses as Wiscombe Park, Hartland Point, Gurston Down, Prescott and Shelsley Walsh - and also in such sprint events as Wroughton, Santa Pod and Ramsey. A Jenks quote from his handwritten 'TriBSA' notebook dated September 4, 1983 reads simply, "Happiness is 7,500 in 3rd!!!"Rupertlt (talk) 17:16, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
