Expansion[edit]

We need a lot more information here. The history of the skull, more accurate description, conclusions. The tools. The shelter. The state of the tower and the story behind it. Rich Farmbrough, 22:23, 25 September 2012 (UTC).

Merger[edit]

The result of this discussion was to not merge. Mentoz86 (talk) 09:54, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

The AfD for Devil's Tower Road was closed by Mark Arsten with: The result was no consensus. There doesn't seem to be much interest in outright deletion, but I'm not seeing a strong consensus about what to do with the content. So no prejudice towards the opening of a merge discussion..

This is the merge discussion. To me it looks like a good candidate for merger into this article. Along the way some of the fluff and cruft could be trimmed.Volunteer Marek 08:34, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

  • Oppose Do note that the AfD in question closed with four Keeps and no Deletes. The article is a perfectly fine article that is properly referenced. All of this seems to be some sort of offense about roads having articles. Devil's Tower Road is one of only a few major roads in all of Gibraltar. SilverserenC 09:17, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
There's nothing wrong with roads having articles. It's just THIS particular road. Don't try to muddy the waters to win an argument.Volunteer Marek 09:27, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
  • Oppose The Devil's Tower is a medieval fortification while the road is a major highway and connection between Spain and Gibraltar. One is just named after the other due to their proximity but the content is not otherwise appropriate for merger as they are different topics. See also WP:POINT. Warden (talk) 10:17, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
  • Oppose per Warden. It's like proposing that Waterloo Station should be merged into Waterloo Road because one stands next to the other. To make it even more absurd, Devil's Tower no longer exists. There's no point in merging an article on a major currently existing road into a different article on a no longer existing building. Prioryman (talk) 14:17, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
  • Oppose as there is very little overlap between the two. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 15:22, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
