Talk:Disaster risk reduction

I would suggest that Disaster risk reduction is how we stop it happening and disaster management is what we do once it has.

I don't agree since they are very distinct areas and require different activities, interventions and actions. In fact there is a need for more detail of how to prepare for and reduce the impact of different kinds of disaster such as floods, cyclones, earthquakes. Each require a different focus.
