The correct romanization of the title, based on the japanese characters (kanji) should be "Dokkōdō", with ō for the second syllable;
The reading and rendering of the second character (kanji) means to "go" or "go forth" and definitely not "to follow" or "be followed". Thus a more accurate rendering would be "The Way to Go Forth Alone" or "The Way of Aloneness", perhaps. --Anon.
When I fed (copy and pasted) the Japanese script (kanji?) into a translator it said that the writing meant the German column road. When I tested the name (Miyamoto Musashi) it was fine. Does my translator have or does the article? Or are they both right? 220.127.116.11 (talk) 16:08, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
