Proposal to change this article into a redirect to double fisherman's knot?[edit]

This article appears to be about the double fisherman's knot, though I've never seen this name applied to it. There are no references and actually some elements of possible nonsense, so I'm not entirely sure if it was created in good faith. However I think everything in the article, including the (admittedly semi-ambiguous) tying description, could apply to the fisherman family of (multi)overhand knots around mutual standing parts. Any objections to making this a redirect? Also, is this actually a known alt name for the double fisherman's knot? --Dfred (talk) 01:12, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed. But the difficulty here may result from the knot, as named/described, not actually existing. I have added additional cleanup templates. Came very close to including {hoax}, but refrained for now. If the article is not improved and clarified in a reasonable period of time it should probably be deleted. I also retract my suggestion for a redirect, as this isn't a particularly useful alt name for the fisherman's-type knots. --Dfred (talk) 15:32, 29 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
