Mr Dunlop was a SCOT, wouldn't he spell his device "tyre", with a "y", and not the American "i"?

De Morvilles Mound[edit]

I would love to be wrong about De Morvilles mound. Does any of it still exist? I thought it had been excavated prior to the road building and found to be natural in origin.

Yes, it still exists, although severely altered.

When they were building the motorway they dug around the Mound. The roundabout next to the Crematorium contains part of the old Mound.
