Cleanup tag added[edit]

This page intermingles reality and fiction within the same sections. There's a factual dispute in the article itself. In general, this is just messy. --Thatnewguy 14:04, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Warning[edit]

Not to be confused with Hilary Duff, who isn't yet old enough to drink it... lies — Preceding unsigned comment added by 110.142.47.225 (talk) 09:15, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Moe vs Sweden[edit]

Moe Szyslak has obviously never been to Sweden. Swedish uses "y" instead of "ü". JIP | Talk 17:15, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fudd beer origin[edit]

Wasn't Fudd Beer in the Shelbyville bar, rather than just a local bar? -Branddobbe 17:14, Feb 23, 2005 (UTC)

If I recall correctly, the bar was called "Joes's" Sonic Mew 14:49, Jun 11, 2005 (UTC)

Duff nuclear waste theory[edit]

Interesting thing. My friends and I use a cypher with 1- A 2-B 3-C ... 6-F ... 26-Z. I was reading a quote about nuclear waste and noticed its acronym "DUF6" spells Duff if you translate the 6 into plaintext. It's like Homer is drinking the waste from work.

(DUF6 stands for depleted Uranium Hexafloride)

Somewhat POV line[edit]

I have found this line to be a bit questionable:

"stereotypical American mass-produced beer: poor-quality, cheap, and advertised everywhere."

While I agree that most American beers are pretty bad (and I AM American), this nonetheless sounds more like an opinion than a fact, and that isn't consistent with wikipedia standards for writing an article. I will not change it at this time, but I thought it was worth a mention. CyberRaptor

RE:: But the line say "stereotypical". Stereotype is often an opinion and generalization (no necessarily true).

Mexican Duff Beer[edit]

I found an article that said the Duff Mexican beer had gained the patent from 20 century fox. I'll update this when I' know more. Adrien Chatillon

Page Move[edit]

Now that Duff Beer has been moved to Duff Beer (The Simpsons), 99.44% of these links now need to be cleaned up. — RevRagnarok Talk Contrib 11:17, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Really. Or has it been moved back since the above comment. I'm confused now. Who moved the page. It says the person who moved the page is responsible for the links. MAKE HIM/HER DO IT. It's their responsibilty.--Username (talk) 21:05, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why is this notable as opposed to the entire genre of webcomics? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.171.181.105 (talk) 23:11, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't notable at all! Even TvTropes would cut this as fanwank! Footnote on series page —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.70.255.59 (talk) 06:36, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Duff beer scams[edit]

The second paragraph is odd. It lists the Australian Duff Beer as "not related" however it comes under the title of Duff Beer scams, which states: "there have been a few notable cases of individuals who have attempted to cash in on Duff's popularity by pirating it."

Therefore, I have renamed the section "Other notable uses of the name" and made some changes because only one is listed in the article as being a direct Duff "ripoff". If anyone has any issues with this, do whatever, k? :B 121.79.17.86 (talk) 12:08, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Does this entry justify its length?[edit]

I mean, honestly. Does a beer in a(n extremely popular) TV show really justify an entry this long? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.148.112.184 (talk) 04:19, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not really, no, but what the hell. It's not hurting anyone, right. RIGHT!--Username (talk) 21:02, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why this page here?[edit]

Why is there an article for a fictional brand of alcohol, but not for something like Yu-Gi-Oh! the Abridged Series? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.42.163.111 (talk) 02:29, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Because Yu-Gi-Oh! sucks. Sorry. Real Duff is actually sold in some parts of the world...Although so is YuGiOh I know what you mean...but I can't be bothered to discuss it a lot. I know i'm kind of late to reply but still...hehe.--Username (talk) 20:58, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Duff named after Duff Mckagan (Guns N' Roses guitarist)?[edit]

Was Duff named after Duff Mckagen of Guns N Roses, also known as "King of beers". The show writers were GnR fans and Otto was based on slash....Any ideas? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.237.136.167 (talk) 16:51, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Otto is based on Slash? Where did you get that from? -- Scorpion0422 21:52, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Has anyone else noticed...[edit]

...that with the joined cross-bar of the double f, the logo looks like "DuH"? The Etceterist (talk) 22:17, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Duff beer is available in Spain.[edit]
