Anyone who doubts the notability of this product should call up any University library nearby and ask the library if they use EZproxy --- Safemariner (talk) 01:04, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

There are definitely libraries that don't use this product - the three that I've worked in, for example (one of them being an Ivy League school).129.170.117.191 (talk) 16:21, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

The statement 'authentication systems like shibboleth are far in the future' is either ambiguous or wrong. Shibboleth exists and is widely used (dominating federated access for higher education in the UK and widely used in the US). It has not yet removed the need for EZPRoxy, so maybe the sentence should read 'Authentication systems like Shibboleth have not removed the need for EZProxy in many situations', though that is clunky. This whole thing reads like an advertisement. Doesn't at all represent the clunky product that I've used 115.70.38.220 (talk) 05:25, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
