Article[edit]

This article should have focused on pre-1949/1945 China. Post-1949 materials should be moved to economy of the People's Republic of China. — Insta ntnood 19:17, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. Generally, Economy of X articles focus on the present state of the economy. Almost all of the Economic history of X articles include information on their respective countries up to the present. Also, this article is long in itself, moving it to Economy of the People's Republic of China would make that article unwieldy.--Bkwillwm 22:08, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I want to learn about.....[edit]

FDI[edit]

Why is the role of foreign investment almost totally ignored in this article? Considering that 60% of exports are by foreign-invested enterprises, it seems that it should have some recognition. DOR (HK) (talk) 04:01, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article is a mess[edit]

I'm sorry, but it only goes up to 1987 and it is rambling all over the place. If I'm going to revamp this article like I did Economic history of China, I'm going to have to delete almost all of the info after the first section. Oh my god. Still doesn't have a single citation. I normally use Wikipedia as a starting point for research and then follow through citations in order to get detailed information (and so I have a source to cite), but I still can't find any.
