Untitled[edit]

I clicked on a link to CIA world factbook, and it appears the first paragraph is plagarized from that site. How come Wikipedia let that happen? 64.4.236.54 20:04, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Someone

The CIA factbook is published by the federal government and is therefore in the open domain and not copyrighted. It's referenced in the article, so it's not really plagarism. --Hatch68 20:06, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

I have today basically rewritten the article without changing any of the content, so that it now reads as if written by a native English speaker. The previous version was clearly written by a non-Anglophone author (probably a Paraguayan national). I trust nobody will take offense at this.Godingo (talk) 17:09, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
