Untitled[edit]

This page reads propagandisticly anti-union and lacks a discussion of the St. Joe Paper Co., which he headed and which amassed the second-largest land holdings in the state after the state itself.

POV problems[edit]

The language in the article ("hit the jackpot", "obsessively reinvesting", etc.) seems pejorative as well as being too breezy for an encyclopedia. Now, I never did like the man and think his power was a blight upon Florida, but WP articles need to be kept neutral in content and tone. -- Donald Albury 11:24, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I reworded the jackpot statement to a more NPOV; removed "obsessively". Mgreason (talk) 02:32, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I expanded the Florida East Coast Railway and St. Joe Paper Company sections. Mgreason (talk) 03:26, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article Expansion[edit]

Goodness! So much information is missing - Founding of the St. Joe Company, powering transportation throughout florida (besides the FEC), more on the Nemours Company, "The Edward Ball We Knew" biography, and how he practically led Florida out of the Great Depression! I may get around to fixing it, but not in the near future Carwile2 *Shoot me a message* 00:24, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
